Dad was always there for us. He gave us a fantastic life, me, my Mum and my brother and sister. He worked so hard to give us everything. He was a real family man. I don't think his childhood was particulary happy, he was sent away to boarding school when he was five and never got to know his parents very well, so he was determinded to make our childhood years the happiest he could. He also had an immensely stressful and important job, much of which we didn't realise until too late (in fact at his funeral)- he was so well thought of that colleagues came from far and wide to attend. But he was just our Dad - who used to mow the lawn and tinker with his car at weekends; take us to our various clubs; pick us up from parties or meet us from the last train at the station; cook us spaghetti bolognese on Saturday nights .... we will always love you and were so very proud of you (I don't think we ever got the change to say that). You have left a very big hole in our world which will never be filled by anyone else.
Just stopping by...
To make sure the memories live on John. I didn't know you or your family but that's not important.
As an angel now, you know that we're all together here, missing those who have left us.
God bless you always and I am honoured to write this tribute for you xxxxx
